COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany Highlands Chorale invites the community to its upcoming holiday concert on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 3:00 PM. The concert will be held at First Presbyterian Church, located at 185 N Maple Avenue in Covington.

Under the combined direction of Sandra Minter, Anne Scruggs, and Allan Tucker, the Chorale has prepared a truly special program. Cathy Drummer is the group’s piano accompanist and will also be performing on flute.

Together, they have prepared a vibrant blend of the season’s favorites—from the timeless reverence of classic carols to fresh, contemporary arrangements that are sure to lift your spirit. It promises to be an afternoon filled with beautiful harmonies, warmth, and abundant holiday cheer.

The Alleghany Highlands Chorale was formed in 1985 by Reverend Jack Martin as part of the Alleghany Highlands Arts Council. It is a community choir dedicated to sharing the joy of choral music within the region. They rehearse on Monday evenings and perform a range of musical styles, from classical to contemporary, always committed to providing high-quality musical experiences for both singers and audiences. New members are welcome. For more information, call the Arts Council at 540-962-ARTS (2787).
