LOW MOOR, Va. (VR) — The Alleghany Highlands Public Schools Local Special Education Advisory Committee will hold a meeting on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Jeter-Watson Elementary School. The meeting will begin at 5:30 pm and the public is invited to attend.
Stephanie Carter, Statewide Transition Specialist with the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services will be the featured speaker. She will be sharing the opportunities that DARS has for students as they prepare to finish high school and enter their next chapter.
In order to promote more participation from parents, a fall-themed craft activity will be available for children during the meeting. Children will be supervised by AHPS staff in order for parents to be able to participate in the meeting.
