You’re Not Alone: Help and Hope for Victims of Domestic Violence in the Alleghany Highlands

ALLEGHANY COUNTY, Va. (VR) – Domestic Violence affects many families in the Alleghany Highlands. Many times it goes unreported and many times it get worse as time goes on. Victims often feel that they cannot report this crime, because they will cause their loved one to lose their job and they will lose their support.

 

Please do not remain a victim and report if you are being abused.

 

The Alleghany Highlands Community Services and the Alleghany Highlands Victim advocates have many things to offer you as a victim.

 

The Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office has responded to 13 domestic related calls over the past 30 days. That is 13 too many.
