COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – The Virginian Review is pleased to announce the placement of a Blessing Box in front of our office on Main Street. We are inviting the community to donate items such as non-perishable food and hygiene products. In turn, neighbors in need may take what they need with the simple understanding that if you have more to share, please leave it for others.
The Blessing Box serves as a practical, locally driven response to the ongoing hunger concerns in our area. It operates on the honor system and aims to reduce barriers to basic necessities to aid the community. By keeping the box stocked through regular donations, we hope to create a reliable resource for families and individuals facing hard times.
Together, we can strengthen our community by donating and giving to those in need. A Blessing Box is necessary today with the uncertainty of federal and state programs. The need for food will only grow, and the Blessing Box stands as a visible reminder of our collective responsibility to ensure no one goes hungry. We invite all of the community to participate and donate.
Your donations make a difference. Let’s come together to support our neighbors and keep the Blessing Box well-stocked for those who need it most.
