COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office and Regional Jail has a collection site in our lobby. You can bring any unwanted prescription meds to our office and dispose of them. We will weigh the medication prior to taking them to the DEA site in Roanoke on the evening of October 25th.

Please get rid of any unwanted or expired medications that you no longer use. For a person who is recovering from addiction or even a teenager who is experimenting with drugs it can be fatal.
