COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – Line dancing got things started Saturday morning as the 2025 Farm Fest brought big crowds to the Jackson River Sports Complex. The annual event, hosted through a partnership between Alleghany High School FFA and Covington Parks and Recreation, offered a full day of family-friendly fun celebrating the area’s agricultural roots.

Vendors set up across the amphitheater lawn, showcasing local crafts, produce, and goods. Families gathered to see farm animals up close, watch a live dairy demonstration, and enjoy the tractor parade that made its way through the complex.

From start to finish, Farm Fest blended education, entertainment, and community pride — making it be a fall tradition in the Alleghany Highlands
