Virginia State Police Investigating Fatal Card Crash in Bedford County

BEDFORD CO, Va. (VR)– Virginia State Police is investigating a single-vehicle crash, which resulted in a fatality. The crash occurred Friday, (Sept 19) at 2:24 p.m. on Moneta Road, one tenth of a mile north of Stoney Fork Road in Bedford County.

A 2024 Indian Super Chief was traveling south on Moneta Road, when the motorcycle ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole.

The driver of the Indian was identified as Frank Earnest West, 60, of Huddleston, Va. Mr. West was wearing his helmet and died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
