SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. (VR)— Rev up your engines for a cause! As the presenting sponsor, the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) invites all community members to the 10th annual 65 Roses Car, Truck & Bike Show on Saturday, September 20 at Spotsylvania High School. This free, family-friendly celebration of cars and community will feature more than 500 dazzling vehicles—from classic cars to vintage trucks and modern favorites, along with food, activities, and prizes for all ages.

“Cars are at the heart of what we do at the Virginia DMV, and this event is a perfect way to celebrate that connection,” said Virginia DMV Commissioner Gerald Lackey. “The 65 Roses Car, Truck & Bike Show not only showcases the vehicles people love but also brings our community together for a meaningful cause. We’re proud to be part of it.”

All proceeds support the fight against cystic fibrosis, a genetic disorder affecting the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. The show was founded by Cody Buckner, who was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and combined his love of cars with a passion for giving back. Buckner’s inspiration for the event’s name, “65 Roses,” came from a child’s early attempt to pronounce “cystic fibrosis”. Over time, the phrase has been a symbol of hope and awareness within the cystic fibrosis community.

“What started with just over 100 vehicles has grown into an event that attracts hundreds,” said Buckner. “Not only are we celebrating cars, but we’re also spreading awareness about cystic fibrosis and raising funds for a cure. It’s incredible to see the community come together year after year.”

From the Commissioner’s Award honoring a standout vehicle, to dash plaques for the first 250 attendees, and prize raffles and door prizes, the day offers something for everyone. DMV’s Law Enforcement Division and Highway Safety Office will also be on hand with special displays. Admission and parking are free, while vehicle registration is $20 to participate. Proceeds and donations will help accelerate the search for a cure through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

What: 65 Roses Car, Truck, & Bike Show

When: Saturday, September 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Spotsylvania High School
6975 Courthouse Road, Spotsylvania, VA 22551
