The Rev. Mike Matlack has been installed as pastor of Falling Spring Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
He was installed Sunday, June 2.
Born in Taegu, South Korea, Matlack was raised in the small unincorporated community of Titusville, N.J. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English from The College of New Jersey in 2011. He earned a master’s degree in special education in 2012.
Matlack was a public school teacher in Hunterdon County, N.J., for two years, specializing in reading resources and in-class support.
After feeling a call to vocation ministry, Matlack enrolled at Gordon-Cornwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton, Mass. He received a master of divinity degree in 2017.
Matlack has been involved in church since his childhood. He has served as an elder and as a youth director.
He says his background helped inspire his call to vocational ministry.
His interests include enjoying the outdoors, music and reading.
Falling Spring Evangelical Presbyterian Church is located at 115 Spring Church Rd., Hot Springs.
