COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – Jennifer Slusser and Katelyn Lunsford from The Woodlands provided a presentation on “Skilled Nursing Facility Admission Criteria” during the August 21 meeting of the Mountain Toppers Healthy Aging Program at the Alleghany Highlands Regional Library in Covington. The program and lunch were sponsored by The Woodlands Health and Rehab Center of Clifton Forge. The Thursday, September 18, meeting will include presentations on “Simple Ways to Improve Strength and Stability” by Matthew Clayton, ACE, certified personal trainer with the Alleghany Highlands YMCA, and a “Breast Cancer Awareness Month” presentation by the LewisGale Hospital –Alleghany Mammography Department. Lunch will be provided by LGH-A. The Mountain Toppers Healthy Aging Program, which meets on the third Thursday of the month, is supported by the Alleghany Highlands Regional Library, the Alleghany Highlands YMCA Healthy Highlands Program and ConnectionsPlus Healthcare + Hospice.
