Dr. Ronald Edward Dean
Dr. Ronald Edward Dean, 81, of Richmond, Kentucky, formerly of Clifton Forge, Virginia died November 20, 2024 at his residence.
Ronald was born on July 28, 1943 in Clifton Forge to the late Edward Lee and Mary Lynwood Hamilton Dean. He was a 1961 graduate of Clifton Forge High School and a member of the Central United Methodist Church. He then graduated in 1965 from Emory & Henry College and later, the University of Tennessee. He served as a professor in the political science department at Eastern Kentucky University. Ronald was a kind person who cared about his church, family, neighbors, and students. He loved animals and deeply cherished his two rescue cats.
A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 11 am with Reverend Sam Chung officiating.
