Such athletes must have completed in a VHSL-sanctioned Varsity Sport and must have excelled in such sport. Among the accomplishments considered will be Individual (All-District, All-Region, All-State, Player of the Year, All-Timesland) and/or Team accomplishments, Individual school or Team records held and impact on teams and the overall athletic program at Alleghany High School or Covington High School during their era and accomplishments thereafter;

  • Be an outstanding patron of the AHS or CHS Athletic programs, in which case the candidate need not be an AHS or CHS graduate. Individuals must have participated with distinction and/or made significant contributions to athletics at AHS or CHS.  Coaches and Administrators will be considered based on the success of their teams and the acknowledgement of their former student-athletes. Other contributors will also be considered for induction based upon their service and dedication to the athletic programs at AHS and CHS.

Moral character, Good Citizenship, and Academic Performance during high school and post-high school years shall be a consideration.
