ALLEGHANY HIGHLANDS, Va, (VR) – Alleghany Highlands Public Schools teachers Kristen Garten of Callaghan Elementary School, left, and Katie Gibson of Sharon Elementary School engage with Responsive Classroom presenter Earl Hunter II during a training session at Jeter-Watson Elementary School on July 23. Thanks to generous support from The Alleghany Foundation, several AHPS elementary teachers and counselors took part in this three-day training aimed at fostering safe, joyful, and engaging classroom environments. Hunter, a certified consultant from Los Angeles, guided staff in strategies to promote students’ social and academic success.
