PITTSYVANIA, Va. (VR) – Virginia State Police is investigating a single-vehicle crash, which resulted in a fatality. The crash occurred Saturday (July 26), at 10:35 p.m. on Route 790, one tenth of mile east of Route 794 in Pittsylvania County.
A 2020 Ford Explorer was traveling west on Route 790, when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck the ditch and overturned, ejecting the driver.
The driver of the Ford was identified as Jeremy Arthur Roberts, 45, of Chatham, Va. Mr. Roberts was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
