BATH COUNTY, Va. (VR) A new agritourism destination took bloom in Bath County with the launch of Mosey More Lavender Farm on Saturday June 7. The owners who retired to the Millboro area transformed a pasture into a 1,000-plant lavender farm, offering visitors a chance to stroll through fragrant fields, pick flowers, and enjoy locally crafted products.
One of the farm’s owners Teece Nowell with an undergraduate degree in horticulture and a master’s in mental health, worked vigorously along with husband Doug Nowell, creating a relaxing experience for their guests who were invited to sit in their Adirondack chairs and drink some lavender lemonade and hopefully let your stress melt away. Visitors can expect to find a variety of lavender-based products when visiting the farm, including salts, lotions, salves, bath bombs, and soaps made from beef tallow and goat’s milk.
The property also features 1,200 feet of flower gardens where guests can pick roses and hydrangeas. The farm’s name, “Mosey More,” reflects the owners’ vision for the area of encouraging visitors to take a leisurely stroll and unwind. The grand opening celebration ran from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and featured local vendors and complimentary lavender lemonade. The farm, located in Bath County, welcomes visitors of all ages, full details available on their website.
