ALLEGHANY COUNTY, Va. (VR) – Alleghany High School senior Brandon Nickell presents Callaghan Elementary School second-grade teacher Gina Middleton with an honorary diploma on May 28. The presentation is part of a new tradition started by Alleghany High seniors, honoring educators who had a lasting impact on their lives. Nickell presented Middleton with the special diploma as AHS seniors who once attended Callaghan returned to walk its halls one final time before graduating on May 30.
