ALLEGHANY COUNTY, Va, (VR) – The Alleghany Highlands Economic Development Corporation held a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 29 to announce that the pad site for the Alleghany Regional Commerce Center (ARCC) in Covington is now site-ready and ideal for businesses searching for a prime location.

This significant regional investment project, made possible by a $3.2 million grant in 2023 from the Virginia Economic Development Partnership’s Business Ready Sites Program, demonstrates the power of regional cooperation and regional partnerships in Alleghany County, Covington and Clifton Forge, along with support from the Roanoke Regional Partnership and the Virginia Economic Development Partnership.

Located just one mile from I-64, the ARCC offers strategic access and a wide-reaching labor pool ideal for industries of all types including pharmaceuticals and healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, defense and many more. To learn more, visit ahedc.com.
