Peter’s Mountain Landfill Closure
June 9, 2025 – June 13, 2025
The City of Covington would like to make citizens and businesses aware that on Monday, June 9, 2025, through Friday, June 13, 2025, Peter’s
Mountain Landfill will be closed.
All refuse will be sent to Alleghany County Transfer Station.
Your refuse will be collected as normal.
City of Covington citizens and businesses will be allowed to take refuse
to the Transfer Station, as needed.
Peter’s Mountain Landfill will reopen on June 16, 2025. If you would like any more information or have questions, please contact the Public Works Office at 540-965-6321 or 540-965-6322.
