LOW MOOR, Va. (VR) — Due to anticipated inclement weather, Alleghany High School’s graduation ceremony—still scheduled for Friday, May 30 at 6:30 p.m.—will now be held at the Mountain Gateway Community College Convocation Center.

The ceremony was originally planned to take place outdoors at Alleghany High School. This location change is being made to ensure the safety and comfort of all graduates, families, and guests.

Tickets: Each senior will be issued seven (7) tickets for family and friends. Tickets will be distributed on Thursday following graduation practice, and are required for entry to the Convocation Center due to limited indoor seating.

Overflow Viewing: Guests without tickets are invited to view a live stream of the ceremony in the Alleghany High School auditorium, where seating will be available.

Livestream: The ceremony will also be live-streamed on YouTube for those who wish to view remotely. A link will be shared on the school’s website and social media before the event.
