LOW MOOR, Va. (VR) – Alleghany High School soccer was on fire as the Mountaineers stormed the field and shut down Patrick County in a complete team performance that had the home crowd buzzing.
Mason Hale and Kevin Valencia led the charge with a goal and an assist each, putting the pressure on Patrick County early. Tyler Richmond stayed cool under pressure, drilling a penalty kick to add to the lead, while Kevin Worley powered in another goal to seal the deal.
But the offense was only half the story — the Cougar defense was downright unstoppable. The back line of Landon Mullikin, Parker Pommert, Brenden Seckner, and Ethan Phillips turned away everything Patrick County threw at them. And when they managed to sneak through, James Helmintoller-Quantz was there to shut the door, recording four clutch saves and protecting the net with authority.
Midfield general Elvis Ramirez set the tone all night, flying across the pitch with aggressive steals and sharp passes that kept the Mountaineers in control. His energy and vision helped ignite the attack and suffocate any rhythm from Patrick County.
