CLIFTON FORGE, Va. (VR) —Appalfolks of America Association (AAA) is teaming up with the Clifton Forge Founders Auxiliary to raise funds to support the CFFA by selling hotdogs at the Buckhorne Country Store and Campground on Saturday, May 17.
The CFFA supports the Clifton Forge Rescue Squad, and the CFFA conducts fund raisers throughout the year. All proceeds from hotdog sells will help CFFA continue its mission.
Appalfolks is competing with nine local nonprofit organizations for a $3,500 first-place prize to be awarded by The Alleghany Foundation for the nonprofit organization in the Medium Division of the competition that raises the most funds by midnight of Tuesday, May 20. Appalfolks will be on hand to distribute flyers for its cause as well.
