CLIFTON FOGRE, Va. (VR) – The May 2025 Clifton Forge Community Gathering will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, in the Historic Masonic Theatre Auditorium from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The theme of this Gathering will be “Coming Attractions.” Presenters will provide background information and schedules of exciting upcoming events and observances.

Sandra McHenry will begin the program with an updated presentation of A Year in the Life of Clifton Forge. The slide show has been set to music and is available to organizations and businesses to use on websites and Facebook pages.

A second featured topic of the Gathering will be Juneteenth. This presentation by Lamona West and Marie Fitzpatrick will provide an overview of Juneteenth and activities planned for the 2025 local observance in the Alleghany Highlands.

Additional updates will be presented of coming spring and summer attractions in addition to a Blue Ribbon award.

The Clifton Forge Community Gatherings are held monthly to provide a forum for citizens. All residents, businesses, and others interested in a dynamic future for Clifton Forge are encouraged to attend. It is not necessary to be a resident of Clifton Forge to participate in the Community Gatherings. All area citizens are welcome to participate. Attendees are welcomed and encouraged to share ideas and strategies to make Clifton Forge a better place to live, work, play and do business. The Clifton Forge Community Gathering initiative is community-driven. It serves as a vehicle to citizens to play an active role in future of the town in cooperation with government leaders.
