Steven “Stevie” Lamont Allen

Steven Lamont Allen, age 57, passed away surrounded by family and friends, Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital, following a short illness.

Stevie was born, September 6, 1967, in Covington, and was preceded in death by his father, the late Ronald Lee Allen; a sister, Sherry Allen; his paternal grandparents, Gene and Gladys Allen; maternal grandparents Roy and Sarah Fourquean; two aunts, Barbara Allen, Linda Wyatt; three uncles, Donald Allen, Ricky Allen, Clem Lee Wyatt; and one brother-in-law, Ricky Jackson.

Leaving to mourn his loss is his mother, Geraldine F. Allen; two sons whom he adored, Justin and Ronald Allen; his sister, Teresa Jackson; five very special cousins, Nadine Allen, Tony Allen, Kevin Allen, Kenneth Allen and Randall Allen; the mother of his boys, Michelle Triplet; three nephews, L.C. Carroll, Delmar Carroll and Markel Moore; one niece, Shanetra Moore; a dear friend Keisha Allen, (his special little princess), and many other family members too numerous to name.

Stevie’s lifelong passion was cheering for his favorite football team, the Redskins, now known as the Commanders. He worked as a cook at Hardee’s in Covington, where he honed his culinary skills. In his free time, Stevie cherished nothing more than hanging out with friends and neighbors, his face lighting up with pure joy whenever out-of-town family or cousins from back home stopped by. A talented cook, he loved whipping up meals for others and unwinding with classic Westerns on TV. Stevie was a true homebody—rarely straying far from his comfort zone—but he embraced life with open
arms. If you wanted to see his face light up, all you had to do was mention Justin and Ronald, his two sons that he loved dearly. In a final act of generosity, Stevie’s legacy lives on as an organ donor, giving life to three grateful recipients.

A funeral service will be held, Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with Elder Randall Allen, Jr. officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Interment will follow the service at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Arritt Funeral home has been entrusted with handling arrangements.

Online condolences may be shared with the family at arrittfuneral.com.
