Malvin Clavis Fridley
Malvin Clavis Fridley, age 93 of 2667 Prices Bluff Road, Eagle Rock, Virginia died on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Alleghany Health and Rehabilitation Center in Clifton Forge, Virginia.
Malvin was born on October 20, 1931, in Alleghany County to the late Connie C. Fridley, Sr. and Druey May Bayne Fridley. He served in the United States Army and was a self-employed painter and carpenter. He enjoyed shopping at flea markets and yard sales.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Sue Spellman Fridley; four sisters, Emma Rose, Glenna Barnette, Helen Rawling, and Muriel Webb; and three brothers, Harold Fridley, Connie Fridley, Jr., and Clinton Fridley.
He is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Sue McCormick and Wayne Dudley of Eagle Rock; a sister, Shirley Fridley of Covington; a granddaughter, Melissa Kay Nelson of Fincastle; two greatgrandchildren, Chance A. Nelson and fiancé Cory Morrison and Chloe Nelson; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to nephews, Danny “Wild Man” Fridley and Jackie “Jaybird” Fridley, and friends, Larry Talbert, Vicky Wilmer, Tom Linthicum, and Glenn Linthicum.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor with Reverend Bill Gilliland officiating. Interment will immediately follow. There will be no formal visitation, but friends may call anytime at Nicely Funeral Home,
Clifton Forge.
