BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. (VR) – Virginia State Police is investigating a single-vehicle crash which resulted in a fatality. The crash occurred Thursday (Mar 20) at 9:59 p.m. on Route 11, at the intersection with Arch Mill Road in Botetourt County.
A 2024 Dodge Ram 2500 was traveling north on Route 11, when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment.
The driver was identified as Allen Leach, II, 55, of Hampton, Va. Mr. Leach was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
