Alleghany Highlands Public Schools announce personnel changes

LOW MOOR, Va. (VR) – At the conclusion of closed session on Monday, March 17, 2025, the School Board took the following personnel action:
The School Board approved the appointments of Adam R. Bauguess as Social Studies Teacher; and Victoria H. Bauguess as Math Teacher; both at Covington Middle School. The Board also approved Raven E. Hamm as Paraprofessional/SPED at Alleghany High School. Also approved was Darin W. Buckner, Sr. as Custodian at Alleghany High School. Krista B. Craft was approved as Library- Media/ITRT Teacher at Sharon Elementary School effective July 1, 2025.

The School Board accepted the resignations of Hannah M. Johnson; Teacher at Mountain View Elementary School effective June 30, 2025; Sabrina S. Hoylman; Part-Time Food Services Worker at Covington Middle School effective March 18, 2025; Natasha M. Jackson; Paraprofessional/SPED at Alleghany High School effective March 18, 2025; Susan R. Whittaker-Clonch; Art Teacher at Sharon Elementary School effective June 30, 2025; and Cedric T. Drennen; Varsity Assistant Track Coach at Alleghany High School effective March 7, 2025.

The School Board has accepted the retirement of Gary W. Twitty; Head Custodian at Covington Middle School effective June 30, 2025.
