Gary Allen “Turkey” Williams
Gary Allen “Turkey” Williams, age 55, of Mountaineer Drive Apt. 20, Covington, Virginia died Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at his residence.
He was born May 3, 1969 in Roanoke, Virginia to Theresa Bartlett Williams and the late James “Ben” Williams. He was a welder, craftsman and carpenter for various welding companies, and enjoyed remodeling, working on projects, and helping others with projects. He was a Cleveland Browns fan, enjoyed spending time with family and loved to visit Harrisonburg and the beach.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Maddox Zamana.
He is survived by his wife, Tammie “Sally” Fury Williams of Covington; two daughters, Lexie Williams of Covington and Abbie Zamana (Katie Boggs) of Dumfries; a son, Cole Zamana (Rachel) of Covington; his mother, Theresa Barlett Williams of Covington; three brothers, his twin, Jerry Williams (Christie) of Covington, Tony Williams (Amanda) of Clifton Forge, and Richie Williams of Covington; two grandchildren, Kason and Isabella Zamana; father- and mother-in-law, Billy and Elizabeth Fury of Low Moor; and a number of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Doug Hollenbeck and Pastor Dave Davis officiating. Following the service, his body will be cremated. The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 12:30 PM until time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alleghany Humane Society, 9313 Rich Patch Road, Covington VA 24426.
