Dear Editor,

DEI must DIE.  The pernicious ideology of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity is being dismantled before our very eyes with the election of Donald Trump as our 47th President (POTUS).  The actual definition of each term is determined by those in power, which meant, until January 20, 2025, the Democrats, who are a subset of the broader category of liberal/progressives.

Diversity meant the imposed quota of individual segments of society on all facets of our culture.   Such segments might be transgenders, illegal immigrants, hispanics, whites, blacks, people of color, muslims, women,  black women, transgender women, black transgender women, homosexuals, genderfluids, drag queens, transsexuals, non-binary…you get the idea.  To further confuse the previously unconfused, even the term “women” could not be defined, as when Democrat Supreme Court justice Ketanji Brown Jackson would not (could not?) tell the nominating committee what the word “woman” meant to her.  Does she really not know what a woman is, or was she afraid to talk due to the woke climate that then, and still does to some degree, dictated what we could publicly express?

It is the forced politics of divisiveness, aka-identity politics, to fractionate our country into opposing groups to facilitate better control of the masses by those who govern.  It is one tactic of communism/Marxism.

Equity meant the equality of outcome, not the equality of opportunity.  Anyone from any background, with no valid qualifications, can attain undeserved positions in an organization over qualified individuals.  One outcome of Equity is allowing women to be front-line combatants/soldiers with men.  This ignores the physiological differences between the two sexes.  Pete Hegseth argues this point by having interviewed enlisted persons of both sexes across all levels of command, all of whom stated that the physical standards, the bar, for enlisting as a field soldier have been lowered so much that battle effectiveness and cohesiveness have been compromised.  Hegseth is being deliberately misquoted on his understanding of the role of women in the military.  He never said women should not serve.

Inclusivity meant the inclusion of everyone into any and all groups, whether they “fit” into that group or not.  Thus transgender women (males who “identify” as female) can compete in women’s sports (Lia Thomas NCAA Division I woman’s swimming “champion”) or women’s beauty contests (Miss Universe Portugal 2023).  The outcome here is the category ‘women’, which anyone can become, per DEI.  Another aspect of Inclusivity is the forcing of military personnel to use the “preferred pronouns” of each individual soldier/officer.  I suppose this prompts unit cohesiveness, trying to remember each individual soldier’s preferred pronoun under the threat of being punished?  Have mercy.

Though there are very many examples of what can happen by imposing DEI ideology, Kamala Harris is one that stands out.  She has an Indian mother and an Afro-Jamaican father.  She pledged sweeping protection of illegal aliens in California.  She is a woman afraid to define womanhood.  As San Francisco District Attorney and California Attorney General, she handcuffed law enforcement in California, nearly removing all fear of punishment in the minds of street criminals.  The above checks many boxes of the DEI checklist.  Simply search Youtube for any collage of word salads by Kamala Harris to experience her ability to explain things, anything, actually.  In fact, much of what she said/says was intellectually incoherent.  It is frightening to know that she might have been the leader of the free world.

Even our vaunted medical associations have bought into, and continue to promote, transgenderism, a facet of DEI.  The AMA – American Medical Association, the AAP – American Academy of Pediatrics, the FPA – Federation of Pediatric Organizations, and the APA – American Psychiatric Association still believe the sexes are interchangeable, continuing to allow their doctors to prescribe puberty blockers to youngsters suffering  from gender dysphoria.  Britain, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, France, and Finland are now severely curtailing the administration of such hormones to youngsters due to evidence-based data of their deleterious effect on children.  If these associations are so wrong on gender-swapping, how confident can we be of their handling of other conditions less straightforward, like COVID?

Reflecting on the above, the D, the E, and the I are very interchangeable and support each other in an overlapping sense.  Any of the examples fit into D, E, or I.  About 15% of Biden appointees fit into the DEI LGBTQIA+ category, including the highly-visible personages of Rachel Levine, Samuel Brinton, and Karine Jean-Pierre.  Biden and the lock-step Democrats were all on-board with DEI.

DEI had infected and invaded all federal government agencies, allowing the hiring of completely unqualified individuals into positions of authority and power.  DEI is garbage.  I believe President Trump is taking the garbage out to restore sanity, efficiency, and respect to all organizations with ties to Washington, DC.
