CRAIG COUNTY, Va. (VR) – Virginia State Police is investigating a single vehicle crash, which resulted in a fatality. The crash occurred Friday (Feb 7) at 10:45 a.m. on Route 311, 2.8 miles north of Route 658 in Craig County.
A 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer was traveling south on Route 311, when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and overturned.
The passenger, Deniece Hubbard, 59, of Covington, Va., was wearing her seatbelt and died at the scene.
The 64-year-old driver of the Chevrolet was also wearing his and was injured. He was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Charges are pending.
The crash remains under investigation.
