BREAKING NEWS: Covington Middle School students being temporarily relocated to Clifton Academy

Alleghany Highlands Public Schools released the following statement this morning:

Due to a situation involving a natural gas line near Covington Middle School, students, and staff are being temporarily relocated to Clifton Academy in Low Moor.

We are in contact with Covington City officials and expect the situation to be resolved shortly.
