Bernice Kathleen Godfrey Robinson
Bernice Kathleen Godfrey Robinson, age 80, of Clifton Forge, Virginia died Friday, August 9, 2024 at Lewis Gale Medical Center, Salem.
She was born July 14, 1944 in Eagle Rock, Virginia to the late Asberry Godfrey and Bernice Burks Godfrey. She was a homemaker throughout her life. Kathleen was a member of Jackson Memorial Church of God in Christ where she was the Church Mother, Missionary and piano player.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Troy Daniel Robinson; a grandson, Lloyd Ray Robinson III; two brothers, Robert and DeLawrence Godfrey; and two sisters, Virginia and Pearlie Sandidge.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Ray Robinson, Sr. of Clifton Forge; six sons, Lloyd Ray Robinson, Jr. (Cindy) of Roanoke, Calvin Robinson (Jean) of Iron Gate, Jeffrey Robinson, Anthony Robinson, James Robinson all of Clifton Forge and Barry Robinson of Covington; three brothers, Bruce Godfrey (Cynthia), Arthur Godfrey (Jean) both of Clifton Forge, and Steve Godfrey of Iron Gate; twenty five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; special friends, Jamila Zeigler and Odessa Godfrey; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Gospel Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, Covington with Eulogist, Bishop Dwight Green and Officiant Pastor Daniel Hammond. The family will receive friends on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.
