Covington Va, Friends, family, and local representatives from across Alleghany County came out Friday July 26th in a huge turnout to cut the
ribbon and propel Owner Julie Carroll and her husband Mike’s dream into motion.

Josh Taylor and Jon Fitzgerald from the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Tourism started the ceremony off with some encouraging words and well wishes for the owners on their new endeavor.

From the Covington City Council David Crosier spoke about dreams and alluded to the fact that “it really is inspirational when I watch somebody who has a dream, puts forth the investment, puts forth the work, and it turns into something like this”. Crosier then went on to talk about community and how great it is to have another Main Street building occupied once again. Other representatives from around the county also took the opportunity to thank and wish the owners luck as they begin their new business.

The Friendly Fork is open from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. All food is prepared fresh daily with both a regular menu as well as
daily specials. They offer full-service catering with options that range from a casual backyard BBQ all the way to a formal wedding.

Anyone interested in their catering services should call (540)-691-5099

They are located at 279 W. Main Street in Covington, VA.
