WASHINGTON, Pa. – Rose Paranos Syrek, 89, of Washington, Pa., died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009.
She was born Sept. 24, 1920, in Meadowlands, Pa., the daughter of the late Nick and Catherine Andredas Paranos.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Syrek was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley A. Syrek, in July of 1984; two brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are a daughter, Iris May and husband, Lawrence Gilbert; and a grandson, Nathanael, all of Covington.
A funeral service was conducted today at 2:45 p.m. in the chapel of William G. Neal Funeral Home, Washington, Pa., with the Rev. Thomas O’Neil officiating. Interment was in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Washington.
The family received friends at the funeral home from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
