WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. – Following the success of the first ever college basketball game at Colonial Hall located on The Greenbrier Resort between Marshall and Radford in a men’s college basketball game in 2023, the resort will bring back college hoops this November for The Greenbrier Tip-Off.

The Greenbrier Tip-Off is scheduled for November 22-24. The semifinals will take place on November 22nd and then the championship and consolation games will be played on the 24th.

Currently scheduled for The Greenbrier Tip-Off at Colonial Hall this November are Wisconsin (Big-Ten), Pittsburgh (ACC), and UCF (Big-12). At the end of the college hoops season, a fourth team will be added.

The specifics behind The Greenbrier Tip-Off came together between Intersport and The Greenbrier. Intersport, a Chicago-based agency, has a partnership with The Greenbrier to bring college basketball to White Sulphur Springs.

The Greenbrier Resort is no stranger to bringing in major sports events. The resort had a long-lasting partnership with the PGA Tour where the resort hosted a yearly tournament “A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier” for 10 years. The PGA Tour ended its partnership in 2020.

LIV Golf will make its return to The Greenbrier this fall following a successful event in 2023 at the resort. The event will take place August 16-18.

The resort has also hosted several NFL Football teams for their training camps. Teams that include the New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, and San Francisco 49ers have been a part of the resort’s football camps.

Add in now an in-season college hoops tournament and it makes the resort an even more attraction to the attraction it already is.

The Greenbrier is a luxurious resort located in White Sulphur Springs and has attractions from their golf clubs, Bunker Tours, Exterior History Tours, Bike trails, Horseback riding, Culinary Arts including live demonstrations, and so much more.
