Virginia “Faye” Robinson
Virginia “Faye” Robinson, age 80 years, a resident of Leading Creek Road, Montrose, WV passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024 at her residence under the care of WV Caring Hospice.
She was born April 22, 1943 at Covington, VA, a daughter of the late Paul Crawford, Sr. and Pearl Steiber Crawford. On December 2, 1959 at Covington, VA, she was married to Paul David Robinson who preceded her in death December 8, 2019. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Faye is survived by one daughter, Cathy Lee Robinson-Wright of Holladay, TN; five grandchildren, Justin Paul Robinson, Samantha Jade Armentrout, Taylor Edwards, Kadie Charles and Casey Wright. Also surviving are several great grandchildren and her dog, Rusty. Also preceding her in death besides her parents and husband was one son, Timothy P. Robinson; her daughter, Robin Lynn Irvine; three brothers, Paul Crawford, Jr., Alfred
Crawford and Leo Crawford and her sister, Edith Summers.
Faye was a homemaker who worked hard at everything she did. For many years, she made home goods, was an avid gardener and had a special love for animals. Faye was a member of the Orlena United Methodist Church which is now known as the Orlena Global Methodist Church.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the Maplewood Cemetery in Elkins, WV.
Pastor Paul Thompson will officiate and interment will follow. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Randolph County Humane Society, P. O. Box 785, Elkins, WV 26241 or the Orlena Global Methodist Church, C/O David Messer, 1670 Parsons Road, Montrose, WV 26283 in memory of Faye.
