Bath Supervisors To Convene Tuesday In BCHS Auditorium

WARM SPRINGS — The Bath County Board of Supervisors will hold its regular May meeting Tuesday, beginning at 6 p.m. in the auditorium at Bath County High School.
Due to COVID-19, the board will not entertain general public comments. Public hearings will allow for public comments, with comments limited to three minutes per person.
Comments may be submitted to publiccomment@bathcountyva.org.
Social distancing will be enforced.
Items on the agenda include:
— posthumously recognize Percy C. Nowlin III and Edward “Charlie” Woodzell;
— adoption of county’s annual budget for fiscal year 2021 and appropriation of funds for county’s fiscal year beginning July 1;
— adoption of schools annual budget for fiscal year 2021 and appropriation of funds for schools’ fiscal year beginning July 1;
— approval of tax levies for fiscal year 2021;
— public hearing to amend Section 15 of the Bath County Code allowing refunds of erroneously paid taxes;
— abandon a segment of Rt. 614 from the Secondary System of state highways;
— approve permit waiver for Bath County Public Schools fuel station;
— consider a one-year contract extension with Republic Services and Jack’s Trash;
— set a public hearing to amend Chapter 14 of the Bath County Code concerning business licenses;
— consider an appointment to the Rockbridge Area Services Board for a term
