Charlie Lee Nelson, Sr.

Charlie Lee Nelson, Sr., age 82, passed away on July 22, 2023. He was a Navy Veteran and retired from Craig County Schools after 16 years of service. Charles was a devoted member of Light House Baptist Church in New Castle, VA.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Amber K. Nelson; son, Mark A. Nelson (Dana); daughter, Laura Lee Nelson; two grandchildren; and two great-grandsons; three brothers; and one sister.

A memorial service will be held on July 29, 2023, at Light House Baptist Church, New Castle, VA with the visitation beginning at 1 p.m. and the service to begin at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church Building Fund.
