Dear Editor,

In the May 9 edition of the Virginian Review, reporter Jennifer Bailey wrote a wonderful article about the upcoming Movies@theMasonic showing of “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” on Sunday, June 4th. In the article, Mrs. Bailey interviews Amy O’Neil who played the Amy Szalinski character in the movie. At the time of the interview, Ms. O’Neil was set to make an appearance at the Masonic Theatre the day the movie was playing.

Unfortunately, Ms. O’Neil is now unable to attend the movie showing. We are all very disappointed, especially reporter Jennifer Bailey, who was looking very forward to meeting Ms. O’Neil.

The Masonic Theatre will continue to look for opportunities to bring actors to our Movies@theMasonic.

The final movie in our Spring Season is “One Night in Miami” on June 6 at 7 pm. The first couple of movies in our Fall/Winter Season will be “Minions” on Sunday, September 3, at 3 p.m. and “Anchorman” on September 4 at 7 p.m.

“Honey I Shrunk the Kids” will be shown as planned on Sunday, June 4th at 3 p.m. All Movies@theMasonic are “pay what you can.”

Thank you, Jennifer, for supporting the theatre with your great article.

Please visit historicmasonictheatre.com to see all the upcoming performances, movies, and events coming up at The Historic Masonic Theatre.

Sincerely,

Justin Reiter – Executive Director
