Hot Springs, Va. (VR) – Bath Community Hospital congratulated Darlene Chambers on successfully passing the Ultrasound Accreditation and received word that the hospital’s radiology department was granted a three-year accreditation. The American College of Radiology, or ACR, is recognized as the gold standard in medical imaging. By displaying the gold seals of ACR Accreditation, the imaging team demonstrates to patients, payers (such as Medicare), and referring physicians that you are committed to providing the safest and best quality care possible. “This is a great accomplishment proving that we provide quality imaging,” said Kathy Elmore, R.T. (R) (M) Radiology Manager at Bath Community Hospital, “and do our best to maintain a Center of Excellence in our community.”

Ms. Chambers joined the BCH radiology team in 2018 and resides in Covington. The Radiology Department at Bath Community Hospital provides imaging technology services for inpatients and outpatients of all ages, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For convenience for our Alleghany Highlands Families, imaging is also provided at Bath Community Physicians Group’s Monroe Clinic in Covington.

The department provides a full spectrum of routine diagnostic services. X-rays, CT scans, and ultrasounds are available on a routine and emergency basis. In addition, mammography appointments can be made through the radiology department without a doctor’s referral. The Radiology Department is staffed with board-certified radiologists and licensed technicians. Please contact (540) 839-7037; or email info@bcchospital.org.
