Robert Keith Ferguson, 58, of Hot Springs, Virginia, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022, at his residence.
He was born July 23, 1964, in Arlington, Virginia, the son of the late James Franklin Ferguson and Betty Jean Apperson Ferguson and stepfather, Johnny Shinn.
He was married to the late Margaret Ann Orchard-Hays Ferguson who preceded him in death on February 8, 2019. Mr. Ferguson was the grounds keeper at the Reston Bible Church. He was a member of Faith Covenant Family Church, and a former member of Reston Bible Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, being outside and spending time with his family. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, Washington Redskins, and listening to music.
He is survived by five children, Justin Lee Ferguson & Fiancé Sierra Elling of Selma, Virginia, Amanda Jane Ferguson of Hot Springs, Melissa Roseann Matheney & husband James of Millboro, Virginia, Rebecca Lynn Ferguson of Hot Springs, and Christopher James “CJ” Ferguson & friend Merab Yeomans of Hot Springs; four grandchildren, Levana Aaron Matheney, Brielle Catriona Ferguson, Zachariah Henry Ferguson, and Winona Matheney; two brothers, Jay Ferguson of Charlotte, North Carolina, Michael Ferguson & wife Elizabeth of Falls Church, Virginia.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by grandson, Trevor Alexander Matheney, and a sister, Brenda Brodie.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the Warm Springs Presbyterian Church.
