The alumni of Alleghany County High School, classes 1964-1983, are invited to attend the ACHS “All Colt Reunion” to be held at various locations in the Alleghany Highlands Sept. 9-11.
Kenny Higgins, former baseball star and football standout at Alleghany County High School who became the football coach at Alleghany High School following the consolidation of Clifton Forge City School with Alleghany County Public Schools in 1983, has spearheaded the planned “All Colt Reunion” with Bill Dressler, Jr., a standout track star for the Colts. Higgins said, “With the merger of Alleghany County and Covington City Schools this year, the Alleghany Mountaineers and Covington Cougars will become the Alleghany Cougars next year.”
