After the Bath County Chargers (5-2) put together an undefeated record at the inaugural Bath County Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, the Chargers went on the road against the Riverheads Gladiators where they lost in straight sets for the first time this season.
The Chargers were led by Laken Tingler who put together a 15 assist, eight digs, seven kill, and three ace performance in the loss. Hannah Armstrong led the team in digs with 19. Lindsay Oliver had eight kills to lead the Chargers.
The Chargers were back on the court on Tuesday as they hosted the Alleghany Mountaineers. The Chargers are 1-0 on the season against the Mountaineers winning in five sets 3-2 while mounting a 10-4 comeback in the final set to win 15-13.

At the inaugural Bath County Volleyball Tournament, the Chargers swept through the competition with ease as they went undefeated in four matches and did not lose a set.
Joining the Chargers in the tournament were the Grace Christian Warriors, Pendleton County Wildcats (W.Va.), and the Page County Warriors.
In pool play the Chargers defeated the GC Warriors 25-18 and 25-21, Wildcats 25-20 in both sets, and the PC Warriors 25-16 and 25-20. The Chargers then knocked off the PC Warriors once more in the title game in straight sets, 25-23, 25-14, 25-23.
