Clifton Forge, VA (VR) – The Historic Masonic Theatre is turning up the heat this summer with the return of the Masonic Amphitheatre Music Series. However, they plan to keep you cool with the return of free Sunday Movies@theMasonic beginning August 7th, 2022.

Theatre Executive Director, Justin Reiter remarked, “The Summer Music Series will take place in August and September. We had originally planned to begin the series in July but with the heat we have experienced lately, we thought it better to move the first show Blues Dayz to September.”

The rescheduled Summer Music Series will begin on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 5:00 pm with Rock Your Sox Off. The series welcomes the return of award-winning Folk/Rock singer/songwriter, Calista Garcia and the amazing Runnin’ Shine, a crowd favorite from last summer. The next exciting show is Raised On Bluegrass featuring The Whiskey Rebellion and the return of Bent Mountain Trio on Saturday September 10, 2022 at 5:00pm. Following Raised on Bluegrass, the series will feature the Alleghany Highland Blues Society and Virginia Tidewater blues band, Paul Urban and Friends on September 16 at 6:00 pm. The Bobby Black Hat performance date will be announced soon.

The 2022 Masonic Amphitheatre Summer Music Series is sponsored by; WestRock, Jack Masons Tavern, Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, the Hillert Family, and John Grimes.

Tickets and Artists information is available at historicmasonictheatre.com or by calling the Box Office at 540 862 5655.

Sponsored in part from First Citizens Bank in Clifton Forge, Movies@theMasonic will resume on August 7 at 3:00 pm, the first Sunday in August. The free admission will also include free hotdogs, popcorn and a drink sponsored by; Chuck Unroe, Shorty Wolf, Wolf Construction, and Debbie and Bob Umstead. Sponsorship opportunities are still available for Movies@theMasonic. Please call the Theatre for more information about how you can help continue to keep the movies rolling.
