Alleghany County Parks and Recreation will host its annual free Senior Fishing Day on Friday, June 3rd on Dunlap Creek at Boys’ Home for ages 55 and up.

No fishing license required! Just bring your pole and bait!

Alleghany County Parks and Recreation will be stocking Dunlap Creek with rainbow trout so everyone will have the opportunity to catch some really nice fish.

Registration will begin at 8:30 AM with fishing running from 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon. Lunch will be served starting around 11:00.

Prizes will be awarded for: first trout caught and weighed, first stringer with six trout weighed, heaviest stringer of trout, and biggest trout by weight.

All this at no cost!

Come out for a day full of fun, fishing, and fellowship.
