Former Covington Lumberjack, Christian Hall, is scorching the baseball as a member of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Blazers.

The Blazers are a Division 1 school and a member of the Conference USA.

Hall, thus far this season has a batting average of .370 to go along with 57 total hits, eight home runs, and 33 RBI’s. He has appeared in all 41 games for the Blazers, while starting in 38 of their games.

Hall’s batting average is best on the team. The closest player/teammate to him has a .305 batting average.

While he was with the Lumberjacks last summer, Hall, had a batting average of .270 in 26 games appeared in, while collecting 24 hits, three home runs, and 19 RBI’s.

Before his time with the Blazers and as a member of the Lumberjacks, Hall, was previously at the University of Tennessee at Martin (UT-Martin) as a member of the Skyhawks baseball team.

Prior to joining the Lumberjacks in the summer of 2021, Hall, started all 47 games for the Skyhawks during their college baseball season where he played in either right field or as the teams designated hitter.

Hall, was also ranked 10th in the Ohio Valley Conference in walks per game in their league play (0.65).

Hall’s biggest accomplishment with Skyhawks, was becoming the third ever Skyhawk at UT Martin’s Division I Era to have a 5-for-5 performance against a Division 1 opponent. He accomplished such a feat against Grambling State when he had two home runs, two doubles, and a single.

Hall’s current team, the Blazers, have an overall record of 27-19. The Blazers are currently in eighth place in their conference with an 11-13 conference record.
