The Alleghany Highlands YMCA is joining forces with participating YMCAs across the country to hold Healthy Kids Day.
This fun-filled day chocked full of activities for children is scheduled at the Alleghany Highlands YMCA on Saturday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free of charge.
“This nationwide event centers around the health of children of all ages,” said Michael May, health and wellness director for the Alleghany Highlands YMCA. “We hope to see you all there.”
Activities include a modern dance class through Cora Dance, a gymnastics demonstration with instructors Michelle and John Reed and swim lessons. Greenbrier Physicians will be on hand to provide medical screenings and offer health tips. Information will be available on after-school activities and clubs. There will be games and other activities along with healthy snacks for the children.
Howard Johnson by Wyndham is the national sponsor of Healthy Kids Day.
