CHARLOTTESVILLE. (AP) – Two people remain hospitalized following the collapse of a balcony railing at a fraternity house in Charlottesville.

Media outlets report that the accident occurred early Saturday morning at the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house.

The Charlottesville Police Department says 20-year-old Joseph A. Gabro and 18-year-old Corey P. Milner, both of Ashburn, were sitting on the railing when it gave way. The men fell about 17 feet to the ground.

Gabro is a student at James Madison University and Milner is a student at the University of Virginia.

No criminal charges will be filed.

Police say Gabro is in critical condition at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Milner is in good condition.
