QUINTON — Herbert (Fritz) Newton Goode Jr., of Quinton, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018, with his family at his side.
Fritz was born at home in Alleghany County, Oct. 18, 1940.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.
Fritz was a resident of the Richmond area for over 50 years.
He was a retired power plant operator.
His dream always was to retire back home in Alleghany County.
Fritz was preceded in death by his young daughter, Tonya M. Goode; father, Herbert N. Goode; mother, Louise Sellers Goode; a brother, Kenny E. Goode; brother-in-laws, Norman E. (Tim) Hilton and George Lee; grandparents, Ken and Louvenia Goode, and Lemual and Margaret Sellers.
He is survived by his son, Michael Goode and partner Sylvia of Quinton; and his special caregiving granddaughter, Rene Goode and other grandchildren, Gina, Shane, and great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are sisters, Charlotte Hilton of Summerville, S.C., Sandra (Peanut) Lee of Alabama, Cheryl (Tink) Boguess and husband Leon of Clifton Forge.
Also surviving are a brother, Ronnie Goode and wife Mary; sister, Patty Burchette and husband Ryland; brother, Gary Goode Sr.; sister, Gail Tucker and husband Burwin (Dunnie), sister-in-law, Shelby Goode, all of Covington; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements are incomplete at this time.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
