STUARTS DRAFT, Va. (VR) – Alleghany built a 28-13 halftime lead and pulled away for a Shenandoah District win at Stuarts Draft Saturday night.
Jalen Raether poured in 23 points to lead the Cougars while Bubby Entsminger followed with 13. Entsminger and Des Jordan collected six rebounds apiece. Brady May added five boards, while Talyn Elliott handed out four assists. Entsminger and Jordan chipped in three assists each. Alleghany is now 9-1 Shenandoah, 13-3 overall.
In the junior varsity game, Buddy Leisure-White scored 20 points as Alleghany posted a 54-38 victory. Mehki Peterson added 14 points for the Cougars, who improved to 8-2 in the Shenandoah and 11-5 overall.
