CRAIG COUNTY, Va. (VR) – A follow up on a story that we shared in January, when things got out of hand at a boys basketball game.

Chaos on the basketball court on Jan. 22, 2026, has resulted in multiple charges following an altercation that involved both students and adults during a boys’ basketball game.

Craig County Public Schools Superintendent Jason Wheeler confirmed that several individuals have been charged in connection with the incident, which erupted during the contest. Details on the specific charges and those involved have not yet been released.

Wheeler said the incident remains under review, and the school division is cooperating with law enforcement as the investigation continues.
